The Abuye Kechene Riverside Development Project, commissioned by the City Government of Addis Ababa Urban Beautification and Green Development Bureau, represents a significant initiative in the enhancement of the city’s urban landscape.
Undertaken by BenCon Construction as the contractor and overseen by Biybone Consultants PLC as the consultant, this project is valued at birr 198 million. It forms a crucial part of the larger Addis Ababa Riverside Development Mega Project, distinguishing itself through its twin-project structure.
This endeavor aims to revitalize the Abuye Kechene area, focusing on sustainable development and urban beautification. Key components include RC retaining Structures, masonry walls, Gabion walls, landscaping, the creation of recreational spaces, and the improvement of infrastructure to bolster the area’s environmental and aesthetic appeal.
